Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Me – A Bake for Every Year

Today I turn 22 (again)! Jokes! Today I turn 27 and, believe it or not, today is my first COVID birthday. Last year I managed to celebrate my birthday the weekend before lockdown landed in Ireland. We sat in utter oblivion in a lovely Italian restaurant, enjoying good food and great wine, without a care in the world about a global pandemic. Little did we know what was about to unfold.

Unfortunately this year there are no dinners out for me. However, there’ll definitely be treats! To celebrate turning 27, here are 27 of my favourite sweet treats – some bakes and some no-bakes. In no particular order (although realistically my favourites are going to pop into my head first):

1. Sponge Cake
2. Lemon & Poppy Seed Cake
3. Orange Drizzle Cake
4. Lime & Coconut Cake
5. Vanilla Cupcakes

Chocolate Cake

6. Strawberries & Cream Cupcakes
7. Dark Chocolate Protein Bars
8. Chocolate Clusters
