Dine in Dublin

As an avid foodie, it would be weird to not write a review of some of my favourite dinner restaurants. One of my favourite things about living in Dublin is the array of restaurants that exist. With that in mind, I’ve put together alist of my top four places to dine in Dublin. Although it was painfully difficult, I’ve delved deep into my soul to decide on these three. All of the below are very reasonably priced.

Toscana, Dun Laoghaire
This is a little gem. I would recommend visiting time and time again. Not only is the food super authentic Italian, the setting and atmosphere is always beautiful. Aside from the exceptional pasta and pizza, Toscana is situated just beside Teddy’s ice cream if you want to have an Italian-Irish dining experience. Moreover, it’s just a few minutes from Dún Laoghaire east pier for a post-dinner walk. You can also find Toscana in the city centre, near Dublin Castle. However, I much prefer the setting in Dún Laoghaire.

Cinnamon, Monkstown
Maybe it’s because I live three minutes away. Maybe it’s because the food is delicious. Either way, I couldn’t write this list without featuring Cinnamon. My favourite meal here is a veggie tagine with couscous, followed by the selection of ice cream and/or sorbet. If you’re planning on heading “out out” after dinner, the Monkstown restaurant is just minutes from the DART while the Ranelagh restaurant is by the Luas green line.

Green 19, Camden Street
Although Camden Street is often referred to as “the street behind Coppers” it has lots on offer in the way of food. One of my favourite places to eat in the city centre is Green 19. I first discovered this little spot about four years ago and I am delighted that it is still as amazing as ever today. The menu is extremely varied, meaning it is an ideal choice if you have a fussy eater in the group. The drinks menu is exceptional, with beautiful wines, quirky soft drinks and out-of-this-world espresso martinis. Added bonus: you always get a Milky Moo mint when you’re leaving.

Neon, Camden Street
Staying on Camden Street, Neon is the place to go for some Asian Street Food. The service is quick. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is fun. What’s more, your dessert is served to you in the form of an empty cone, which you fill yourself with whipped ice cream – how amazing! My favourite dish here is a ramen!

Have you eaten somewhere lovely recently? Let me know – I’m always looking for new places to add to the Dine in Dublin list!
