Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

I recently got lovely feedback about my double chocolate chip cookies. It delights me to know that people are enjoying my recipes. Please do share any feedback by leaving a comment under the recipe or messaging me on social media.

After hearing that my recipe for double chocolate chip cookies was such a hit, I decided to work on another variation. Orange chocolate chip cookies using Free’ist no-added sugar dark chocolate with orange.

Just as with my double chocolate chip cookies, these orange chocolate chips cookies are delicious dipped into a glass of cold milk. Although I would always prefer to dip mine into a mug of hot, milky coffee.

Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients
135g margarine, softened
190g caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
275g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
100g Free’ist Orange Chocolate

Method

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Cream the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add in the egg, vanilla and 1 tbsp flour. Mix well until combined and smooth.

Sift in the remaining dry ingredients and mix to combine. Chop up the chocolate bar and stir in the chocolate chunks.

Allow to chill in the fridge for at least 15 mins if possible.

Arrange 10 cookies onto 2 baking trays.

Bake for 10-12 mins in the preheated oven. Allow to cool slightly and firm up on the baking trays before transfers to a wire rack to cool completely.
