Troubleshooting – Cookies

My cookies have merged into one. Is there anything I can do other than eat one giant cookie?

To prevent cookies from spreading, chill the dough in the fridge for 15-20 minutes prior to baking. It is best to chill once rolled out/shaped into cookies, rather than as a large batch of dough.

If you do not have time to chill the dough and you’re nervous that they may spread, check the cookies halfway through baking. If spreading is evident, remove from the oven and use a spatula to gently separate the cookies and encourage back into shape – you will be surprised how pliable soft cookies are. Return to the oven to finish baking. You may need to gently reshape again once baked.
