Sometimes it is the simple things in life and nothing is more simple than the humble rice krispie bun. I’ve jazzed these up with the addition of Mars bars, honey and butter but if you don’t have those ingredients, some melted chocolate and rice krispie cereal will do the trick.

If you don’t have bun cases, this recipe works just as well when pressed into a square or rectangular tin and cut into pieces when set.

Ingredients
8 mini Mars bars
200g milk chocolate
140g butter
100g honey
300g rice krispie cereal
Sprinkles, to decorate

Method
Line 2 X 12 hole bun tins with paper cases.

Melt the bars, chocolate, butter and honey together in a large mixing bowl.

Mix in the cereal and divide between the paper cases.

Allow to set before serving.
