Hummus

I’m always on the lookout for weekend brunch inspiration that I can recreate at home ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผ During the summer, after working at an event in Dublin Zoo, myself and a few of my colleagues went to The Lo-cal Kitchen in Castleknock for lunch. Here I enjoyed some of the best hummus on brown bread ever!

I headed home with a fully belly and the intention of recreating this beautiful meal at home. The following weekend, I whipped up a batch of homemade hummus and enjoyed it on toasted soda bread โค๏ธ In my mind, there’s not many things that beat the smell of toast on a weekend morning ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hummus Cropped

To make this meal gluten free, opt for gluten free bread, corn cakes or rice cakes. The smooth texture of the hummus is a perfect contrast to the crunchy base of the corn/rice cakes.

For added flavour, any or all of the following are a great addition – salt, pepper, red chilli flakes, paprika and/or Italian herbs ๐Ÿด

Hope you enjoy!
