Guacamole is super simple to make and it is super tasty. In my opinion, guacamole is one of the most beautiful ways to enjoy creamy avocado. My creamy avocado pasta is another delicious way to eat this non-so-pretty fruit, native to Central America.

Fun fact: The name “guacamole” comes from an Aztec dialect and literally translates to “avocado sauce”.

Ingredients
1 ripe avocado
1 clove garlic, crushed
¼ small red onion, diced
½ red chilli, sliced (optional)
Juice of ½ lime
Salt and pepper
Method
Mash the avocado on a chopping board with the back of a fork.
Mix in the garlic, red onion and chilli (if using) followed by the lime juice.
Taste and season to your liking with salt and pepper.
Store in the fridge and use within 3 days.
